Let me take it away

I don’t know where you are,
I’m blind; I cannot find my pole-star,
I’m confused, I am adrift,
I am disturbed, remembering our rift.

It was cruel, wasn’t it?
It was heartless, a crime, I did commit,
But after all that, I’m so sad,
I’m sorry, I have been so bad!

I became someone; I never wanted to be,
I became inhuman; I can’t believe that was me!
I’m sorry, I was caught in the moment,
and I guess I lost it, now I repent.

But know that, wherever you are, I still care,
It doesn’t matter; I just want you to be safe,
From every evil, that comes this way,
Let me shield you; take all your troubles, away.

I don’t want you to hurt; I don’t want you to suffer,
I don’t wish to see you languish; I don’t want it to get any tougher.
Enough is enough, let there be no pain,
Allow me to lock them up; you don’t even have to strain.

I will take care of it all; I’ll take it away,
All the anxiety, only I will bear,
Because this is mine, it belongs to me,
Because for pain, I am deserving.

You don’t have to repent; you don’t have to cry,
You don’t have to think, you don’t have to sigh,
All is well, because I promise to take it away,
